We will open again on Sunday 11 April 2027, with more unusual perennials. ## Our plants - our aims The plants at Northend Cottage Nursery are grown from seed, cuttings or division in our wonderful greenhouse. They are mainly perennials, along with some biennials and annuals. The plants are sold in aid of two remarkable local charities: [Earthworks](https://www.earthworksstalbans.co.uk/) and the [Sunnyside Rural Trust](https://www.sunnysideruraltrust.org.uk/), both of which support people with learning differences. You can find us directly opposite Holy Trinity Church on Bedmond Road. There is limited parking on site. Otherwise, try Church Road or the car park next to the village hall. **We are only open on Sundays 10am-12 noon (April to October).** We will occasionally be closed on Sundays, so please double-check website. ## About us Northend Cottage Nursery is run by Philip Leach who has close connections with both charities. He is a former volunteer at Earthworks and was a trustee from 2021-2025. For Sunnyside, he was Orchard Nursery Facilitator at the Plant Library in Serge Hill (2025-2026), a role which was focused on plant propagation.
